Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what Pawmark collects, why, who it is shared with, and the rights you have over your data. It applies to the Pawmark mobile app and this website (together, the "Service").
Pawmark is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy question or request, contact support@pawmark.app.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, or advertising identifiers, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
We use your data solely to provide the Service: creating and syncing your household's content between its members, delivering the reminders you configure, powering progress features like streaks and awards, and keeping the Service secure. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process your data on these bases: performance of a contract (providing the app you signed up for), consent (optional features like notifications and photo uploads, which you can withdraw at any time), and legitimate interests (securing and improving the Service).
We share data only with the processors needed to run the Service:
These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and data-processing commitments. We never share your data with advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose data if required by law, or as part of a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.
Pawmark is built around shared households. When you join a household, other members can see the pets, habits, completions, appointments, expenses, records, and photos shared within it. You control this by choosing which households to join, and you can leave a household at any time. Content about household pets may remain with the household after you leave.
Our infrastructure is hosted in the United States. If you use Pawmark from the EEA, UK, or elsewhere, your data is transferred to and processed in the US. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses implemented by our processors.
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your personal data is deleted immediately; residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 30 days. Content belonging to a shared household (such as a pet's medical history) remains with that household's other members.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access to production systems is restricted, and photos are stored in access-controlled storage scoped to your household. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your personal data we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can exercise deletion yourself in the app (see below) and any other right by emailing support@pawmark.app. We respond within the time required by law (30 days in most cases), and we will never discriminate against you for exercising your rights. EEA/UK users may also lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority.
Under the CCPA/CPRA: we collect the categories of data listed above (identifiers, user content, and device tokens); we use them only for the purposes described; and we do not sell or "share" personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA, nor do we use sensitive personal information beyond providing the Service. You have the rights to know, delete, correct, and port your data, exercisable in the app or via support@pawmark.app, yourself or through an authorized agent.
Pawmark is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If we learn that a child under 13 has created an account, we will delete it. If you believe this has happened, contact us.
You can permanently delete your account and personal data at any time directly in the app under Profile → Delete Account. Households where you are the only member are deleted entirely, including their pets and records; households you share remain with the other members, and if you owned one, ownership passes to another member. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
If you can no longer access the app, contact us at support@pawmark.app and we will process your request within 24-48 hours.
If we make material changes, we will update this page, revise the date above, and notify you in the app or by email before the changes take effect.
